About the blog
Total transparency: this is my second attempt at blogging. The first go-round, was a class requirement calling for only a single post, so I exerted myself and wrote the best post I possibly could. Actually, my entire post shunned the blogosphere, referring to it as an “echo chamber” full of “school-yard arguments.” In fact, I intended never to re-enter this inauspicious virtual world, but as it is, I’m faced with yet another class requirement.
But I’m shedding my negativity this time around and embracing the blogosphere as a much-needed tool of the PR trade. As hard-headed as I can be (hence the name of the blog) I’m a big enough man to admit when I’m wrong. I’m looking past the requirements and seeking professional growth.
Steele Headed focuses on PR issues in a Web 2.0 world with more SM apps than you can shake a stick at. Among other things, it examines the relationship between good Web design and public relations, shows the significance of a solid online presence and discusses how SM helps establish a valuable platform for two-way symmetrical communication.

During my hiatus from the blogosphere, I realized there’s a lot to learn out there for a young PR professional like myself. And I intend to find out what that is. I think I’ve finally reached the point I reference in that first fateful blog post:
“Maybe as my continued education fuels a slow maturity I’ll quit “Facebook-creeping” and start yelling into the echo chamber.”
